While vehicle registration is one of the most significant responsibilities performed by the Chhattisgarh RTO office, it is not the only one. The office is responsible for a wide variety of duties on a daily basis.

• It offers a range of other services, including the issuance of driving licenses, changes to Registration Certificates and driving licenses, issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOC), and the issuance of permits via its official RTO website.
• One of the key functions is the registration of new vehicles and the re-registration of other state vehicles. Depending on the type of registration chosen, the office can either temporarily or permanently register a vehicle.
• The CG RTO collects taxes such as green tax and road tax on the first and subsequent registrations of a vehicle. This tax collection is subsequently deposited with the state government, serving as a primary source of revenue for it.
• One of the most crucial duties of this RTO office is to inspect the fitness of vehicles operating in the state regularly. This is done to guarantee that older vehicles meet the emissions and other environmental standards established by the respective government.

Here is the process for CG Vehicle Registration-

The automobiles will be registered through the Online Dealer Point system. The vehicle owner must pay the applicable taxes and fees before receiving the temporary registration number. The RC Smart Card will be delivered to the vehicle owner once all of the provided documentation have been confirmed.

The following documents are necessary for vehicle registration in Chhattisgarh:

• Form 20
• Certificate of sale.
• Certificate of roadworthiness
• Certificate of Insurance
• Proof of the owner's address
• Form 34 signed by the owner and the lending institution
• Forms 60 and 61, as well as your PAN card (if applicable)

Here is the procedure to get the driving license in CG:

Step 1: Visit parivahan.gov.in/parivahan.

Step 2: Select driving license-related services under online services.

Step 3: Enter the state name, Chhattisgarh.

Step 4: Click on ‘Apply Online’ and then choose New driver's license.

Step 5: Fill out and submit the application online.

Step 6: Upload scanned copies of the required documents.

Step 7: Make a driving appointment for the DL exam.

Step 8: Attend the driving test on the scheduled date and time.

Step 9: To receive a Chhattisgarh driving license, you must pass the driving exam.

You will receive a driving license within a stipulated period upon successfully passing the driving test.
