New Feature Alert - F&O Pause on Groww
Trading involves a lot of risks. At Groww, our top priority is to be a responsible 古蹟交流社 by building innovative products and offering services to mitigate risks and inculcate responsible trading behaviour.
We understand that trading in Derivatives (F&O) can be intense, and customers may need a breather from time to time. Often, some of our F&O customers reach out to us seeking temporary deactivation of their F&O accounts. Addressing this feedback, Groww is launching F&O Pause - a DIY feature to empower customers to take control of their trading journey by providing them with the flexibility to pause F&O trading while keeping other investments like stocks and mutual funds active on the Groww app.
Through Pause, we aim to help traders curb the temptation to trade when they have either hit their profit goals or their loss threshold in a given time period.
What is the ‘Pause’ feature on Groww?
‘Pause’ is a recently introduced feature on Groww specifically designed for F&O traders. This feature enables customers to temporarily halt trading in F&O contracts. Customers have the flexibility to pause and unpause at their convenience. The feature aims to curb impulsive trading following substantial profits or losses, providing traders with the opportunity to reassess their strategies and emotions.
How to Set F&O Pause Feature on Groww? (download the latest version)
Here, we have outlined the necessary steps to set the ‘Pause F&O Trading’ feature on the application:
Step 1: Go to the "My Account" section on the Groww application.?
Step 2: Click on “Account Details” and select “F&O Pause”.
Step 3: Slide to “Pause F&O”. Before enabling Pause, ensure that all open orders are cancelled, and all open positions are squared off.
Step 4: Click on ‘Pause F&O’. Once done, a screen will appear, stating ‘F&O Trading is paused’.
Points to Consider
- The Pause feature allows F&O customers on Groww to temporarily disable trading in F&O. However, they can continue investing in mutual funds and stocks if the pause feature is enabled.?
- Customers can easily enable or disable the Pause feature at any time. Simply navigate to the ‘Pause’ screen and slide? to? ‘Resume F&O’ option.?
- Groww does not charge additional fees to use or access the ‘Pause’ feature.?
- 'Before enabling Pause, customers need to first cancel all their open orders and/or square off/exit all their open positions to prevent any further trades in F&O segment'.
